Riders need to be reasonably fit and able to ride 100kms a day on sealed roads.

Highlights:
Rest day in Streaky Bay to relax, fish, swim with sea lions of have a nice cold one at the pub
Half day rest in sleepy town of Coffin Bay
Half day in Port Lincoln, if you’re game go for a shark dive!
Unspoilt coastal scenery!

Sunday 26th Ceduna – Streaky Bay 110 kms
A long day to start the ride but it’s made all the more easier with the spectacular scenery along the coast. It’s bitumen all the way to make this ride even more enjoyable, soak up the scenery whilst listening to the sounds of nature.

Monday 27th Rest day
Sealions, Baird Bay, Dolphins, Aqua trails, Point Labat A day of rest in the peaceful town of Streaky Bay, so many options for activities here from nature walks, fishing charters, swimming with sea lions or just throwing a line in over the jetty and relaxing at the pub with a nice cold one. The day is your own to explore this beautiful, unspoilt landscape. Outbike, is happy to assist you with making arrangements for activities on this day.

Tuesday 28th Streaky Bay– Walkers Rock 115 kms
Scenic ride along the coast again, more seashore to discover and more fresh sea air to take in.

Wednesday 29th Walkers Rock – Mt Dutton Bay 126 kms
Today’s quite a big riding day but the spectacular scenery will take your mind off those sore limbs – well it will defiantly make the pain worthwhile!

Thursday 30th Mt Dutton Bay – Coffin Bay 40 kms
Only a half day of riding today, enough time to spend in Coffin Bay, again another small coastal town, go crabbing, explore the National Park or rest those limbs with a gentle swim in the sea.

Friday 31st Coffin Bay – Port Lincoln 50 kms
Another shorter ride day to give you more time to explore Port Lincoln. This snazzy coastal town has a population of 13,000 and offers plenty of attractions from sailing to wine tasting.

Saturday 1st Port Lincoln – Arno Bay 115 kms
Quite a long days ride today, but yesterdays rest should have you itching to get out there on the road again. Sunday 2nd Arno Bay – Cowell 44 kms A relaxing ride to the Cowell which overlooks the Franklin Harbour, plenty of time tonight to drop a line in or sample their nationally renowned oysters.

Monday 3rd Cowell – Whyalla 110 kms
Conclude todays big ride in the original mining town of Whyalla.

Tuesday 4th Whyalla – Pt Augusta 75 kms
Option to finish the ride here now and have a few rest days before joining the Bike n Wheels Expedition departing on the 11th April 2006.

Wednesday 5th Port Augusta – Melrose 68 kms
A nice easy day allows you to enjoy cycling into the Southern Flinders Rangers. The outback town of Melrose host to Mt Remarkable and many MTB Tracks if your still feeling energetic.

Thursday 6th Melrose – Clare 140 kms
Today will be a big day! But defiantly worth it, onto the last legs of the ride programme now we have crammed as much fresh air, unspoilt scenery and great riding adventure into these last two days as we possible can, so make the most of it.

Friday 7th Clare - Adelaide 136 kms
Another big riding day through the scenic winery region of the Clare Valley arriving in Adelaide late into the evening.

Bikes:
It’s road riding all the way so your usual road rider will be fine on this ride. On rest days participants can tackle the dirt tracks if they wish.

Support:
Driver-guide/s with first aid qualifications and carrying first aid kit, satellite phone and bicycle repair gear, support vehicles will usually be 9 passenger 4WD troop carrier/s and/or 17 passenger off-road truck-coach - and trailer/s, on sections where riders may be behind the back-up vehicle/s a 'tailend rider' will be chosen (or volunteer) to carry light bicycle repair and first aid kits and a hand-held UHF radio, baggage carried on vehicle/s, camping gear including swags, tents, self-inflating foam mats, chairs and stools, catering gear provided - we run the meals but conscript you to help (please BYO mug, crockery and cutlery), personal washing basin (byo sponge, towel etc), spades & 'donut' seat (and portable plastic shrubs or pop-up screens) for ablutions purposes, satellite phone/s, UHF radios, spare bike/s, comprehensive tool kit, spare tyres and tubes, participants get to help with preparing meals plus campsite duties!
