WESTERN AUSTRALIA SALING THE KIMBERLEY COAST

Australia's last, and possibly wildest frontier has an almost inaccessible coastline with spectacular tidal variations, and a rugged landscape ruled mercilessly by a climate of extremes. You will feel the scale of this ancient continent as the expansive landscape wraps around you.

Wild and craggy-sided gorges and spectacular waterfalls; a fretted and ragged coastline of high cliffs and mangrove-fringed tidal mudflats; rugged, multi hued ranges of sandstone, limestone and basalt thrusting above broad plains and river valleys; all of it awesome in scale - such are the dramatic extremes of the remote, north-western wilderness known as the Kimberley. The Kimberley is host to most of the mammals and reptiles that occur all over tropical Australia but its great distinction is the richness and diversity of its birdlife.

Aboard our 60 foot yacht we will traverse remote bays, wild river mouths, idyllic desert islands and pockets of rainforest alive with the music of colourful birdlife. Our movements will be dictated by the ebb and flow of massive tides and the score of daily options available to us. The low passenger numbers enable each cruise to be more in the nature of a private charter and the special interests of individuals can be catered for. Dinghies are available for fishing and excursions. Scenic flights are also included in all cruises and add an extra dimension to the Kimberley experience. The flights enable you to join your yacht at a calm water anchorage deep in the Kimberley wilderness, thus avoiding open ocean passages and maximising your time in this unique and idyllic country.
