TASMANIAN WILDLIFE TOUR
Separated by Bass Strait and unencumbered by many of the mainland's introduced predators, Australia's island state, Tasmania, is a haven for indigenous wildlife. Connected to the mainland as recently as 10,000 years ago, Tasmania is the largest island in an archipelago of 300 islands, a rich jewel straddling the cooler 40th parallel - the last landfall before Antarctica in the Eastern hemisphere.
On this journey you have multiple opportunities to view some of Australia's rarest and most unusual wildlife, close up and in the wild. We travel to remote and seldom visited locations in the company of experienced naturalist guides who lead us to nocturnal wildlife viewing locations (most Tasmanian wildlife is semi-nocturnal, often seen on dusk).
Another highlight of this trip is that you have a number of opportunities to see and learn about Aboriginal culture.
