TIWI ISLAND ART TOUR

Each Centre produces traditional and contemporary Tiwi art, and has its own unique style.

Tiwi Design is the largest centre on the island. Through innovation the artists have applied traditional art to new mediums.

Jilamara is known for its fine art and is proud to represent artists such as Pedro Wonaeamirri, who works in traditional ochres.

Munupi is known for its unique style and colourful art. Artists use rich vibrant colours in acrylic paints as well as natural ochres. The centre also has a pottery studio and produces weaving.
