MOSSMAN GORGE INTERPRETIVE WALK

Kuku Yalanji guide take you on a relatively easy 1.5 hour walk through pristine rainforest that includes cave paintings and sites of traditional significance. After the walk tea and fire cooked damper is served under the bark shelters.

The walking trail we use features a traditional humpy, a creekside stop for a demonstration in the art of making paint, a range of bush tucker and medicine plants and fruits and some of the most beautiful rainforest in the region.

After the walk, tea and damper is served under our bark wurun giving visitors an opportunity to discuss rainforest flora and fauna and learn more of traditional Aboriginal culture. The tour is also a spiritual experience.

Following your billy tea and damper you may like to browse around our gift shop and art gallery featuring genuine Kuku Yalanji art and artefacts including paintings, boomerangs, bull roarers, spears, woomeras, dilly bags, information books and hand-painted jewellery.

Trading hours are 8.30am to 5.00pm on weekdays and arrangements can be made for group bookings on Saturdays.
