SOUTH AUSTRALIA
KANGAROO ISLAND 4.5 STAR HOMESTEAD
Your hosts Robert and Karen Sincock welcome you to this 4.5 star ca.1860 homestead that has retained its original character. You will find us at Penneshaw on Kangaroo Island, a small township of some 400 people nestled on a point overlooking the mainland. There is an abundance of wildlife, particularly at night. The fairy penguins and Tammar wallabies are seen in abundance in and around the town most evenings.
The home was used as a Guest House for thirty years from 1890. Today it offers guests a combination of nostalgia and luxury from a by-gone era. Offering views of the ocean and surrounding farmland, this is the perfect place to spoil yourself for a night, a weekend, or a week. All your needs are catered for, including evening meals by arrangement.
The cottage style gardens have an abundance of roses, daffodils, and other older style cottage plants that attract scores of Blue Wrens, Goldfinches, Honeyeaters and other native Australian birds. Simply sitting on the verandah soaking in the atmosphere is a very soothing experience.
Your hosts both live on the premises and do their best to ensure that
guests enjoy the old-fashioned hospitality and service that
the Lodge's history suggests. Staying at the Lodge is a fine
way to enjoy the charm of Kangaroo Island. Its heritage and
location will surely make your holiday a memorable one.
