WESTERN AUSTRALIA
EL QUESTRO STATION

El Questro is on the eastern perimeter of the Kimberley and runs for approximately eighty kilometres into the heart of the region. It has four major river systems from fresh water springs to the lazy salt water estuaries in the northern part of the park. Abundant animal, bird and fish life congregate on its rivers and waterholes.

The Homestead
If you are looking for absolute luxury surrounded by a spectacularly rugged Kimberley landscape this is it.

The Park Homestead is an exclusive retreat cantilevered over the magnificent Chamberlain River. Catering to the most discerning of guests, friendly staff will provide the highest standards of service and cuisine. Guests are encouraged to choose from a selection of dining locations from private cliff- top to the Homestead's spacious verandahs, but almost always under a canopy of stars.

Decorated with artefacts and antiques collected from Indonesia and tropical Australia, the Homestead is an ideal place to let the massive beauty of the untamed Kimberley take effect. Surrounded by lush tropical gardens, the Homestead has a swimming pool, spa, and a tennis court for the exclusive use of the Homestead guests.

Air-conditioned bedrooms all have their own private bathrooms and verandahs with views of the garden and river. El Questro Homestead offers unrivalled access into the far reaches of the Kimberley in unique style and comfort just when your friends thought you needed to be fearless to brave the Kimberley!

Emma Gorge
Hidden within the fiery red of El Questro's Cockburn Ranges, lies the spectacular Emma Gorge Resort. It is conveniently located close to some of El Questro's major attractions and only 2kms off the Gibb River Road and an hour from Kununurra.

Nestled between palms and pandanus, gravel paths link the Tented Cabins, restaurant, bar, reception and gorge.

A large swimming pool and lounge area shaded by native trees and landscaped gardens lie on the banks of Emma Creek.

A short walk takes guests from the base of the gorge past butterfly filled trees and vines to a huge turquoise waterhole, perfect for swimming and even a gentle massage under the permanent droplet waterfalls. Chefs serve locally grown tropical fruits for breakfast, barbecues of fresh fish and Kimberley beef are specialities for lunches and dinners, all served in the open air of the Headquarter's spacious verandahs.

One of Emma's many unique features are the Tented Cabins. It is rare to stay in such comfort and style while remaining close to nature in complete harmony with the surrounding landscape.

The Tented Cabins have raised roofs allowing the tropical sounds and scents to filter through and are fitted with crisp linen, feather pillows, 240v power and fans for the warmer nights. Superior Tented Cabins and all Deluxe Tented Cabins have their own private facilities while the Standard Tented Cabins have use of a shared bathroom block. The choice is yours. With a fully licensed bar, well-stocked shop and laundry facilities, Emma Gorge Resort is an ideal place to stay and explore El Questro and the Kimberley beyond.
